As of 1 June 2018, Mrs Dorota Mleczko was entrusted with the duties of director of the cultural institution, and a year later on 28 May she was appointed for a four-year term and began to form her team.
After completing the formalities, the museum started its statutory activities and preparations began for the adaptation of the building “Lagerhaus” for the museum’s needs.
Several rooms in the building of the District Labour Office in Oświęcim at 10 Wyspiańskiego Street became the temporary seat of the institution.
