Marian Zielinski was born in Andrychów in 1911. After completing his medical studies at Krakow’s Jagiellonian University before World War II, he settled in Brzeszcze.
During the war he organized medicines and typhus vaccines for KL Auschwitz prisoners. He took care of prisoners who had escaped from the camp. After the war, he put his heart and soul into running the Brzeszcze Polish Red Cross hospital where liberated prisoners were treated.
He died in 1965 and was laid to rest in the cemetery in Brzeszcze.
